At Clarity Detailing, we love working on cars that stand out — and this Paint-to-Sample Honda Civic Type R (FK2) was a real head-turner. The unique colour made this one particularly special, and our goal was to bring out every bit of depth and gloss while providing long-term protection through our 5-Year Ceramic Coating Package.
The process began with our safe wash and full decontamination, removing tar, iron fallout, and road grime to ensure a perfectly clean surface.
Once prepped, we carried out a comprehensive paint correction using a combination of rotary and dual-action polishers to eliminate light defects and swirl marks. This refined the custom paint beautifully, enhancing clarity and revealing the deep tone and metallic character that make it so distinctive.
With the finish perfected, we applied our 5-Year Ceramic Coating to all painted surfaces. This coating bonds at a molecular level to create a hard, glossy, and hydrophobic layer — protecting against UV rays, water spotting, and environmental contaminants.
Not only does it make the paint easier to maintain, but it also enhances the gloss and depth, allowing that one-off colour to truly shine in any light.
Once completed, the FK2’s unique paint looked nothing short of stunning — sharp reflections, rich depth, and a glass-like gloss that accentuated the car’s aggressive styling. With five years of ceramic protection now in place, this Type R is ready to stay looking its best on both road and track.
