At Clarity Detailing, we’re always excited to work on modern classics — and few cars have a reputation quite like the EK9 Honda Civic Type R. This example came to us in its legendary Championship White finish for a paint correction and 12-Month Ceramic Coating, restoring its iconic look and giving it the protection it deserves.
The EK9 began with a safe wash and full decontamination, removing years of built-up grime, tar, and fallout to prepare the surface for polishing.
Once clean, we carried out a paint correction using rotary and dual-action polishers to carefully remove oxidation, swirl marks, and fine scratches. The aim was to bring back the crisp, bright tone of Championship White while preserving the originality of the finish.
The result was a huge improvement in clarity and gloss — the car’s sharp lines and classic details once again standing out as they should.
To lock in the restored finish, we applied a 12-Month Ceramic Coating across all painted surfaces. This coating enhances gloss while adding a hydrophobic barrier against dirt, water, and UV damage.
